Our Facilities
Environment
Government guidelines are followed towards ratios and support staff is available to help when needed. We offer decorated rooms with plenty of interesting toys and materials for your child to play Indoor and Outdoor games. The center is organized so your child can find things easily. A happy and safe environment is our priority. Ample amount of learning activities and toys to bolster cognitive, physical, social and emotional, language & communication and all around development of the children.
Values
Our Philosophy at Gr8 Start Academy Daycare & OSC is to provide an environment where Children can learn through “Play and Exploration”. Children are guided by redirection, talking and explaining cause and effect of their actions. Learning activities, nap, mealtime, and toilet training are done based on individual and age requirements.
Parent Involvement
You are welcome to participate in the child care program. Parents are invited to volunteer as book readers, activity leaders and to support on outdoor trips. Staff encourages your input on how well your child is doing.
Communication
Daily reports are given to parents. Children's development and behaviour is discussed as needed and parent support and involvement is incorporated as needed.
Staff
Majority staff is certified as Level 3 or 2 and have prior childcare experience.
